Kelsey and wife Kayte Grammer welcome daughter Faith
Which celebrities have given birth? We were heartened to hear the fabulous news that Kelsey and Kayte Grammer announced yesterday the delivery of their daughter Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer at 1.00am Fri 13 July. Little Faith weighed in at 6lbs 2oz (2.73kgs). The joy of Faith’s birth was tinged with slight sadness as earlier this year the couple had announced Kayte had a twin pregnancy, only shortly later to lose the little boy.
Kelsey (57), star of Boss, the US political drama about to launch its 2nd season of ten episodes, and the hit shows Cheers and Frasier, and Kayte (31) told the People
“We are thrilled. Mother and child are in excellent health.”
The couple had experienced anguish and sadness following the loss of one of the twins.
“A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to celebrate the life that has been given us. We proudly introduce our Faith to the world today looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come.”
In 2010, Kayte had also suffered a miscarriage in the Autumn, which would have been her first child. The couple wed in February 2011 and renewed their vows in June this year. We wish the couple all the very best for the future.
Other celebrity births this week include Sienna Miller (30) and Tom Sturridge (26) who announced the birth of their daughter Marlowe Ottoline Layng, and Kourtney Kardashian(33) who gave birth to daughter Penelope Scotland.
